19/1/2012 - The DECC issued a response to the FIT's consultation review.  Please note that what happens next will be based on the outcome of the courts appeal hearing.

If the DECC lose the appeal hearing: Eligibility for the FIT's scheme registration will be 3 March 2012.  PV systems registered before this date will receive the full FIT (43.3p for a <4kw retrofit system).  Systems registered after this date will receive a 21p tariff rate after 1 April 2012 but will get the higher rate until 31 March.

If the DECC win the appeal hearing: It is likely that the eligibility date will revert to the DECC's previously proposed date, which is 12 December 2011.

The situation will only be resolved once the court of appeal has made a decision.

- The government lodged an appeal on wednesday against a judge's ruling that its cuts to the solar power subsidies were illegal.  The full story and link to the governments full appeal can be found on the Guardian website.

We have updated the feed in tariff shown on our website to 21p.  This is the rate that currently will take effect in April for installs carried out any time after 12th December 2011 pending supreme court appeal.
